Stacy is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-Associate) and licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT-Associate) under the supervision of Susan Gonzales, LPC-S, LMFT-S. She has also completed levels 1, 2, and 3 of Gottman couple’s training. She has a private practice, Stacy Bockholt Counseling LLC, in the Westlake area of Austin, Texas, for individual, couple, and family counseling. Areas of specialty: oncology counseling, bereavement (children, adolescents, and adults), anxiety, self-esteem/identity, career counseling (young adults), couples/marriage counseling, and parenting. 

Stacy has a BA in Psychology from Vanderbilt University and a MA in Counseling from Texas State University. Her three personal battles with cancer, including Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (1998), Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma (2009), and Breast Cancer (2015), led her to dedicate a large portion of her private practice to oncology counseling through Cancer Rehab and Integrative Medicine. Stacy’s counseling experience also includes group and individual counseling at Northwest Counseling and Wellness Center (substance use IOP), The Christi Center (grief therapy), The Phoenix Center (child/family trauma), Texas State Career Counseling Center (career/anxiety/identity counseling), and Texas State Counseling Center (individual and family therapy).

Stacy’s goal is to help clients through difficult life situations. She works to identify clients’ strengths and barriers and helps clients build resilience, confidence, self-esteem, purpose, and passion in their life, relationships, and work. She is available for in-person or virtual counseling.
